FIELD TRIPS at MoChiMu

“Play is the highest form of research.”
– Albert Einstein

Modesto Children’s Museum is the ultimate laboratory of play! Here, your learners can climb to new heights; explore color, sound, and light, experiment with new processes; discover skills and interests they never imagined; test their creativity, cooperation, and critical thinking, and become the heroes of their own stories!

HOW TO BOOK

Interested in a Field Trip this Spring? Before calling to book, please review the available dates below, noting that we have very limited availability for “morning” visits. To visit this Spring, you should plan on an “afternoon” (noon to 2 PM) visit.

None of these dates work for you? You may be interested in a MoChiMu Outreach Workshop, bringing hands-on STEAM learning to your classroom, with no bus ride required!

TO BOOK: Call MoChiMu at (209) 232-6060 ex. 102.

FIELD TRIP BASICS

  • Group admission is $15 per person (including students, teachers, and chaperones) and provides admission, a group welcome and orientation, specialized Maker Lab staffing, and an organized goodbye experience.

  • This school year, we are excited to offer a discounted chaperone rate to groups achieving a 1:3 adult-to-student ratio or better on the day of their visit.

  • We require a 1:5 adult-to-student ratio at minimum (i.e. 62 students require at least 13 adults); chaperones are the leaders of small groups who explore the museum together. Chaperones must stay engaged, stay together with their groups, and lead groups in picking up areas before moving on.

  • A Field Trip visit is scheduled for about two hours – either morning (arriving around 9 AM, departing no later than 11 AM) or afternoon (arriving no earlier than noon, departing around 2 PM).
