Ring in the Year of the Horse with MoChiMu After Dark: Lunar New Year – an after-hours cultural festival inspired by Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese traditions. While the Modesto Children’s Museum undergoes a brief closure, we’re taking the joy of MoChiMu out into the community with 10 immersive, chalk art installations. Find where each installation will live and explore the museum's exhibits in a new way. We invite you to skip, jump, or twirl like the windmills and PLAY through the art—sparking curiosity, movement, and imagination for all ages. This is more than art, it’s a temporary playground that invites our community to interact, discover, and feel a bit of MoChiMu magic in their everyday spaces.
